The Public Prosecution and Birzeit University hold a lecture on safe handling of the social media

Under the instructions of the Attorney General, Dr. Ahmad Barrak, the Public Prosecution, in cooperation with the Deanship of Student Affairs at Birzeit University, has held a lecture, titled "How to safely handle social media". The lecture was chaired by the Head of the Law Department, Dr. Mustafa Abdelbaqi. The lecture was also moderated by the Chief Prosecutor, Mr. Samer Al-Masri, and the public prosecutor, Mrs. Maali Mousa. Dr. Mustafa has initiated the lecture with a brief on the Cybercrimes Law. He addressed the need for students to know how to safely use the social media, stressing the importance of cooperation among the Academic institutions and judicial justice parties to establish a Palestinian state that is based on solid foundations.

The Public Prosecution and the Judicial Institute organize a workshop on Government Cases and civil proceedings

Under the instructions of the Attorney General, Dr. Ahmad Barrak, the Palestinian Public Prosecution, in cooperation with the Palestinian Judicial Institute has held a workshop on Government cases and civil proceedings for a number of public prosecutors, and legal counsels working in the relevant ministries, as part of developing the work of public prosecutors and to raise their performance level, particularly in the civil cases.

The Public Prosecution and Women Media and Development (TAM) conduct a training on stress management for Family Protection Prosecutors

Under the instructions of the Attorney General, Dr. Ahmad Barrak, the Public Prosecution, in cooperation with Women Media and Development (TAM), and the Center of Mental Health & Psychosocial Support for Women, has held a two-day workshop in Jericho on the subject of stress management. A number of family protection prosecutors from various district prosecution offices and from the Attorney General's office, as well, have participated. The workshop was aimed at identifying a mechanism to manage stress faced by family protection prosecutors due to the sensitivity and the privacy of the cases they work on.

The Public Prosecution opens the Juvenile Premises in Tulkarem Prosecution Office as a step towards juvenile protection in Palestine

Under the instructions of the Attorney General, Dr. Ahmad Barrak, the Public Prosecution has opened the Juvenile Premises in Tulkarem Prosecution Office as a first step towards juvenile in Palestine, in the presence of the juvenile judges, Tulkarem Police Director, the Head of the Social Development Directorate and a delegation from JSAP IV, represented by the Project Manager Mr. Emery Adoradio, the Legal Advisor of the Public Prosecution and Military Judiciary at JSAP IV, Dr. Ismail Nairat, the Legal Advisor at the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), Mr. John Dawson, the Juvenile Chief Prosecutor, Mr. Thaer Khaleel, the Chief Prosecutor, Mr. Subhi Helwa, and a number of prosecutors.

Sharaka Project

CIDA and the Canadian Department of Justice developed a comprehensive five year project to support and promote the Public Prosecution Services. Sharaka project depends on Canadian expertise and leadership to bridge the gap in international aid aiming at supporting the Palestinian judicial sector.

Mateen Project

Mateen project focuses mainly on developing selected public prosecution offices in six districts; Nablus, Jericho, Tulkarem, Qalqilia, Dura and Hebron in the technical aspect of their work, developing and automating case management at these offices, as well as training and developing the capacity of prosecutors and administrative staff.

Swedish Grant

The Swedish representative provided a grant during the years 2009 and 2010 to support the urgent needs of the justice sector institutions: the Public Prosecution, the High Judicial Council and the Ministry of Justice.

Justice Sector Assistance Project JSAP

This project is funded by the US Department of State. In its first phase, the project focused on supporting the public prosecution offices to increase their efficiency in prosecuting through providing advice, guidance, training and equipment.
