The Attorney General, Mr. Akram AL Khateeb has concluded an official visit to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, accompanied by a delegation of the Public Prosecution including: The Head of Judicial Inspection, Mr. Abdl Nasser Darghmeh, The Head of Planning and Policies Department, Mr. Yaser Hamad, The Chief Prosecutor of Ramallah district, Nash't Ayosh, and the Appeal Chief Prosecutor, Mr. Samer Abo Zaed.
The Attorney General has met the chairman of the Court of Cassation & the Jordanian Judicial Council, Judge, Mohamed Gazo, and they discussed means of strengthening continued mutual coordination between them in the judicial aspects.
During this visit, a MoU has been signed between the two parties, represented by the Jordanian side, Judge Mohamed Sai'd while the Palestinian side by The Attorney General Mr Akram Al Khateeb. This MoU has addressed cooperation strengthening between the two sides concerning combating crimes, developing the performance of the Public Prosecution, training of the Public Prosecution's members, and exchanging expertise on penal legislation.
The Attorney General has met the Jordanian Minister of Justice, Dr Basam Al-Talhone, and they have discussed means of cooperation in the legal and judicial areas, as well as the role of the Justice Ministry in supporting justice sector and the Public Prosecution.
Al-Talhone has welcomed the Attorney General and his delegation, asserting on the importance of strengthening the relationship between the two parties, exchanging expertise, and presenting point of views in the justice sector.
From his side, The Attorney General, Mr Akram Al Khateeb has praised the developments of the Jordanian Judicial system, expressing the Palestinian Public Prosecution keenness to strengthening the cooperation and exchange expertise between the two prosecutions.
