The Attorney General of the State of Palestine Dr. Ahmad Barrak opened today the specialized training on intellectual property held in Amman, in presence of the director of the Jordanian Judicial Institute Dr. Thaer Odwan and the head of the Rule of Law Section At EUPOLCOPPS Mr. Giovanni Galzignato. His Excellency discussed holding several specialized trainings as well as initial trainings with the director of the Jordanian Judicial Institute.
The Attorney General also held a meeting during his visit with Dr. Akram Al-Masa'deh, Chief of the Offices of the Public Prosecution of Jordan, in presence of the Attorney General of Amman District Mr. Ziad Al-Dmour and the Appeals Court Judge Dr. Ali Abu Hjaileh. His Excellency discussed methods of cooperation between the Palestinian public prosecution and Jordanian public prosecution, as well as methods to promote judicial cooperation between both sides in order to keep abreast with the evolution of crime.
His Excellency also met the Jordanian Chief Justice and President of the Cassation Court Judge Hisham Al-Tal in his office, in presence of Dr. Akram Al-Masa'dah, where they discussed methods of judicial cooperation between the state of Palestine and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, how to build on the existing cooperation and coordination between both sides, and supporting joint activities.
It is worth noting that the specialized training on intellectual property will be held over the course of one week at the Jordanian Judicial Training Institute with the participation of a number of prosecutors and chief prosecutors from different districts. The training includes several lectures on this field, as well as field visits to judicial facilities.
