Date:- 4/18/2016

Place:- Ramallah

In light of president Mahmoud Abbas' decision issued on 3/4/2016 regarding the establishment of the high constitutional court, and after reviewing the constitutional court law no. 3 of 2006, the Attorney General of the State of Palestine Dr. Ahmad Barrak decided to establish a state cases commission and separate it from the High Court Prosecution at the AGO. The commission is to start procedures before the constitutional court in accordance with article 31 of the Constitutional Court Law No. 3 of 2006.

The Constitutional Court Cases record has been opened at the commission, where cases filed before the high constitutional court are registered. All cases under the high constitutional court's jurisdiction, which had been previously viewed before the high court and handled by the high court prosecution, are to be transferred to the state cases commission in order to duly proceed with and handle them.
