President Abbas receives Attorney General of the State of Palestine

​President Mahmoud Abbas has received the Attorney General of the State of Palestine Mr.Aram Alkhatib in the presence of the president Legal Advisor Mr.Ali Mhanna.

Prime Minister discusses with the Attorney General the Public Prosecution procedures during the emergency period

​The Attorney General, Mr.Akram Alkhatib welcomed Prime Minister Dr. Mohammad Shtayyeh in his office to discuss the Public Prosecution decisions and procedures during the emergency period. both aimed to ensure the rule of law, and preserve the rights & freedoms of citizens. Alkhatib presented to the Prime Minister the workflow mechanisms in all prosecutions and in district prosecution offices.

Attorney General receives a delegation from Sawasya II Program

Attorney general Mr.Akram Alkhatib has met with (Sawasya 2) board of directors represented by the head of the program Mr. Christopher Dicker, the Technical Expert Mr. Petrett Skandery and the Human Rights Coordinator Mrs. Ataf Zahaika in order to enhance the partnership between the two parties and Coordinate several topics to achieve the strategic plan for the justice sector.

Attorney General Opens Specialized training on Prison Supervision for Human Rights Members

Attorney General Mr.Akram Alkhatib has opened a training session for human rights members on the subject of prison control& supervision in the presence of the Head of the Human Rights Unit Mrs.Najwa Al-Abdallah, and SWASYA Legal Expert Mr. Salah Musa as well as a number of Human Rights Members.

Sharaka Project

CIDA and the Canadian Department of Justice developed a comprehensive five year project to support and promote the Public Prosecution Services. Sharaka project depends on Canadian expertise and leadership to bridge the gap in international aid aiming at supporting the Palestinian judicial sector.

Mateen Project

Mateen project focuses mainly on developing selected public prosecution offices in six districts; Nablus, Jericho, Tulkarem, Qalqilia, Dura and Hebron in the technical aspect of their work, developing and automating case management at these offices, as well as training and developing the capacity of prosecutors and administrative staff.

Swedish Grant

The Swedish representative provided a grant during the years 2009 and 2010 to support the urgent needs of the justice sector institutions: the Public Prosecution, the High Judicial Council and the Ministry of Justice.

Justice Sector Assistance Project JSAP

This project is funded by the US Department of State. In its first phase, the project focused on supporting the public prosecution offices to increase their efficiency in prosecuting through providing advice, guidance, training and equipment.
