Attorney General Discusses Cooperation Methods with the Head of EU Civilian Crisis Management Committee

The Attorney General Mr.Akram Alkhatib discussed the cooperation methods with the EU Civilian Crisis Management Committee represented by the Head of the EU Civilian Crisis Management Committee and a number of member states representatives from the European Union.

​The Attorney General Mr. Akram Alkhatib discussed with the Amnesty International's Middle East and North Africa Research and Advocacy Director, Philip Luther, the Deputy Director of the Amnesty Office Mr. Saleh Hijazi and the Campaign Coordinator, Mr. Laith Abu Ziad, the ways of cooperation & coordination between both sides specially in the field of capacity building of prosecutors specialized in human rights in order to achieve the fair trial in Palestine, in the presence of the Head of the Human Rights Unit ,Chief Prosecutor, Mrs.Najwa Abdallah.

Attorney General Meets with EUPOL COPPS

Thursday, The Attorney General Mr.Akram Alkhatib discussed the ways & means of cooperation as well as the projects funded by the EUPOL COOPS in the field of trainings, capacity building and supporting the public prosecution with the EUPOL COOPS Head of Mission Mr. Kauko Aaltomaa, in the presence of the Attorney General Deputy Mr. Yasser Hammad.

Sharaka Project

CIDA and the Canadian Department of Justice developed a comprehensive five year project to support and promote the Public Prosecution Services. Sharaka project depends on Canadian expertise and leadership to bridge the gap in international aid aiming at supporting the Palestinian judicial sector.

Mateen Project

Mateen project focuses mainly on developing selected public prosecution offices in six districts; Nablus, Jericho, Tulkarem, Qalqilia, Dura and Hebron in the technical aspect of their work, developing and automating case management at these offices, as well as training and developing the capacity of prosecutors and administrative staff.

Swedish Grant

The Swedish representative provided a grant during the years 2009 and 2010 to support the urgent needs of the justice sector institutions: the Public Prosecution, the High Judicial Council and the Ministry of Justice.

Justice Sector Assistance Project JSAP

This project is funded by the US Department of State. In its first phase, the project focused on supporting the public prosecution offices to increase their efficiency in prosecuting through providing advice, guidance, training and equipment.
