The Public Prosecution in cooperation with the Palestinian Judicial Institute Conducted the Third training Course for Public Prosecution members on the Topic of ( Appeals and Cassation) which lasted for two days. The course was moderated by Chief Prosecutor of Cassation Prosecution Mr.Majdi Al-Sharaab, Chief prosecutor of Appeals Prosecution Mr. Samer Abu Zeid, and Dr.Abdel Naser Abu Samhadana as an evaluator for this training course.
His Excellency the Attorney General of the State of Palestine received the Italian Consul General Mr. Giuseppe Fideli at his office to discuss the ways of Joint cooperation and coordination between the two parties especially in the field of Juveniles Justice, in the presence of Assistant Attorney General, Mr. Yasser Hammad, Juveniles Chief Prosecutor, Mr. Thaer Khalil and the director of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation Mrs. Christina Natuli.
His Excellency Mr.Akram Al-Khatib, Attorney General of the state of Palestine, met with the Netherlands representative H.E Ambassador Qais Fanbar to discuss the ways of cooperation and coordination between the two parties especially regarding the fields of training and logistics support in the presence of the Assistant Attorney General Mr.Yasser Hammad and the first secretary of the Embassy Mrs. Berber Vander.
H.E the President of the State of Palestine Mr.Mahmoud Abbas received the annual report of the Public Prosecution for the year 2019. This came during the reception of the Attorney General, Mr. Akram Al-Khatib at the Presidential headquarters in Ramallah, in the presence of the President's legal advisor Mr. Ali Muhanna.
CIDA and the Canadian Department of Justice developed a comprehensive five year project to support and promote the Public Prosecution Services. Sharaka project depends on Canadian expertise and leadership to bridge the gap in international aid aiming at supporting the Palestinian judicial sector.
Mateen project focuses mainly on developing selected public prosecution offices in six districts; Nablus, Jericho, Tulkarem, Qalqilia, Dura and Hebron in the technical aspect of their work, developing and automating case management at these offices, as well as training and developing the capacity of prosecutors and administrative staff.
The Swedish representative provided a grant during the years 2009 and 2010 to support the urgent needs of the justice sector institutions: the Public Prosecution, the High Judicial Council and the Ministry of Justice.
